I had been following .io sales for some time now ,and realized that they had seen some good sales,(not comparing to .com in any way)
So i decided to buy one and I'd like to know what you think,It's a dictionary word, taken in every extension.
I was under the impression that the adult industry ,and erotic novel publications could be the end users,if you guys think anything else ,do let me know, much appreciated

Erotic.io

The .io extension tends to be popular with startups.
Therefore, the keyword isn't perfectly matched to the extension.
$xx to $xxx.

No real Erotic industry in the Indian ocean between Tanzania and Indonesia? I think there only low x,xxx inhabitants. Feels Tempting to roll it on any offer. Probably need to figure out an Input/Output angle. Goodluck

While i truly value your opinion,i don't think people living within the Indian ocean between Tanzania and Indonesia would be the only people who've bought io domains, just saying, but I do get what you meant by that and thank you

Post #4 is spot on, and #5 applies to any exotic TLD.
The yearly fee (ยฑ $50) makes speculation expensive.
Surprisingly, the zone is not that small: around 20,000 regs. More regs than sister TLDs .ac (16,000), .sh (4,000), .tm (5,200).
But it's a tough sell really: how often do you see a .io bought on the aftermarket ?

I bought the .io only after I saw, that there were .io sales happening in the aftermarket for one word dictionary words, for low xxx to high xxx atleast
it has had larger sales too,
the pitch that some people were using in their aftermarket sales was this

There are reasons why .io domains have recently become so popular with businesses, individuals, and shrewd domain investors...

They're short, sound good, and .io domains perform well in Google's search results. The reason for this is because they've been added to the geotargetable domains list.

Microsoft bought Doc.io for $24,600 and my friend recently sold bt.io on flippa for $2,000 and pic.io for $3,500.

And Many of the companies which use .io also have venture capital funding, so they're likely to be the future large and influential companies on the web. As an example:

Tuition.io raised $6 million.
Keen IO raised $2.35 million
Intercom raised $6 million
Greenhouse raise $2.7 million
And many more
But it's not only startups that are getting in on the act. Google, Microsoft and Yahoo also have .io domains.

Microsoft snapped up Doc.io for $24,600. Google owns Coupons.io, and Yahoo owns Player.io, amongst others.

Private sales are also happening direct to companies. Like with App.io when they rebranded to a .io domain.

Even the US government is happy to use .io domains.

Blog posts have been written on the new-found popularity of .io domains. Such as this post:The Rise of .io Domain Names for APIs.

Wikipedia also notes: ".io domains are popular with new startup companies."

This is a rare chance to get one of the best .io domains that exist.

I Yahoo owns Player.io

And Yahoo already dumped the intended use of this name.

Remember the person that wrote that was selling something

And there is big difference between techy names correlation to start up companys that just have to have a term like 'greenhouse', and the word Erotic.

Also when you hear an extension is popular to make 'open source projects' thats code words for 'poor college student offers'

The writing of erotic storys pays money. So thats a development idea.

It is a nice one worder though so there always a chance for a good sale, goodluck
