Had numerous discussion as to whether i should post this, but hey, what the heck...........

This registrar has now taken to hijacking domains and then attempting to resell them back to the domain owner at an inflated price.... Else, they say, they will sell to the highest bidder.... true.......

Just last week, Pool has had to re-hijack 500 odd domains, which Dodora snapped, back for their customers after Dodora stole them...

Thankfully an extremely knowledgeable member here has helped a customer of mine (who bought a pool snap from me) repossess his domain. [Customer was even considering paying Dodora for his name back ]

They previously had a similar problem after stealing someones domain, to which they then lost the resulting court case, defaulted on payment and then lost all their domains - the rights of which the plaintiff then sold to Directi..

They are even banned from forums such as domainstate...

So I guess their days are numbered......... thankfully.......

Can you post a process flow as to how it happened to your customer? What I
don't get is the "hijacking" part...

Ok, maybe the terminology is going array....

I backorder a pending drop at pool. I win auction for name at pool. Dodora are the registrar. I pay pool. Directi take over registration of my name from dodora due to a legal issue (not connected with me). I sell domain. I push domain. 6 Months later my customer contacts me saying dodora have arrived back on the scene, taken back control/registration of name and tell him that "they now own the name", "they want $2500", "no payment will result in sale on open market".....

I contact pool and also get help from another 'highly informed' NP member. Pool say they will deal with it. It appears my customer was only 1 of 500 victims. So Pool, (and dont ask me how) hijack back all their domain drops from dodora and place with new registrars......
