I have been freelancing from the internet for 6 months now and i would like to confirm that is is better than offline freelancing. Now i am going forward with 100% full time internet income to support my family. I would like to hear other's experience? How difficult was it for you to get in your position right now?

I used to make pretty good money doing consulting when I lived in NY.. worked part-time helping people set up on eBay and list items ($25 hr or a percentage).

i used to make a very acceptable supplemental income with domaining, outside of the realm of buying/selling domains.
GOOG/YHOO and some companies that shall remain unnamed, sure found a way to reduce this supplemental income to 1/4 of a chewing gum wrapper. :|

Next step, online consulting and reviews as well as offering custom Joomla installations.

I have a full time job so earning online is only on a part time basis for me.

I would like to add a comment here that if you take it really seriously then it generates more income then any other offline jobs.

Moreover with proper planning everything doesn't requires yourself to be dedicated to it. So some things can go on themselves with very little effort from your side.

Well, 100% of my income is earned online right now. The last couple jobs I've held were telecommuting positions and I also run my own business.

But many people overlook offline marketing as a way of making money online.

Online is so saturated you're fighting against the current. Yet there exist many opportunities offline that haven't been exploited yet.

The very fact that the average person has limted knowledge about the Web should be your wakeup call to approach those people about why they should be doing business with you online or why they may want a domain you could sell them or a website you could build.

IMO, many more options for making money "online" exist "offline".

That is also a nice approach :) Because online they would give us 2 pennies and offline people might give us something more. It is like that end user search but the right user search :)

Yes online market getting more and more saturated. :'(

Nope cant say i'm earning online yet.
Been a comparatively small time in this business but with some great sales in the recent past, i have more money to re-invest. Started with limited investment so i need to re-invest profits.
I havent reached the stage where i can take profits out and call them earning. I guess another year and i'll be all set to start taking out profits :)

I have a regular job and consider anything made off the internet is a bonus for me.

Likewise.. I only work 18 hours a week but anything online is gravy.. it's my play money for the most part or money I use to buy extras.
