do you buy hosting for every adsense minisites?
Currently I just buy one hosting, and use url redirect to point to different
subdirectories of the one hosting site. However I learned that the 302
redirect is not good for the PR ranking. Is there a way to do 301 redirect but
use only one hosting service?

Or do most people don't care their adsense PR ranking? (because if you
pay every hosting account for every adsense domains, then it will be too
costly).

I use a reseller hosting account. About $5 a month handles all 800+ domains.

I use at minimum a VPS and depending what sites I own at the moment I have a dedicated server at times. I'd definitely buy a reseller hosting account (at the very least) if I were you cache, it's worth every penny to have your sites each hosted on their own domain.

Some people also use free hosting for their sites (and host several sites at several free hosts), but I prefer the control I have over my sites destiny paying for hosting.

You can also try Dreamhost's shared hosting which allows you to host as many domains as you want, for as low as $7.95/month, with 4.8GB space/120 GB BW. And with promo codes, you can even bring down the price. ;)

Thanks. Dreamhost seems good. For intekhosting, how many domains can you host? (the add-on domain is 3, does that mean total of 3 domains?)

thanks.

for reselling packages, such as the $7.50 one, there is no limit on anything like that.

I'm renting a single dedicated server that hosts all my websites. Before that, I had one webspace package and redirected everything there.

I think it depends on what exactly you want to do. I'm also a programmer so I like to try out new software on my server and things like that. This was not possible with my old webspace package.

I have signed up to dreamhost. The first year is $22.40

I use http://www.247-host.com which is only $3.99 per month.

They allow infinite number of domains. I dont remember the physicall space and the transfer amount allowed but more than enough for one-page minisites.

The best thing about them IMO is that they accept PAYPAL.

good find. The dreamhost I signed looked cheaper for the first year, but
it will be a lot more after the first year. Is your $3.99 the regular price? (I checked their website, it does not mention whether it is regular price).

Each host is different. A lot of times when you sign up at one price they lock in the price for the duration of the time you are hosted with them. If you think about it bandwidth (which is the most expensive part), servers and everything else only get cheaper with time.

Let's not turn this into a hosting advertisement thread (Those folks are rabid enough already ;) ), but the bottom line is (If I understand everyone correctly above, as well as adding in my own .02):
1- Use addon domains or "pointers" for every minisite, not URL forwarding. That way to Google (et al) they look/act like their own individual sites. Also, that gives more freedom in developing indexed links in SE's, etc. Just look for a host with a high or "unlimited" number of addon domains as an option.

If you don't want to pay for a reseller account, which is typically significantly more in cost, you can always use add on domains. Each site will have its own domain, but you will end up with only one account. It has its advantages and disadvantages, but is cheaper then a reseller account if you lack the funds.

I did not know this difference. I got dreamhost's "crazy domain insane", do you think it is a add-on or reseller?

The "crazy domain insane" can have a few different "users", I have not created a second "user", so don't know what it is.

Currently, I'm using the reputable resellerzoom.com - $5/mo for 50 websites. Servers aren't really fast, but they'll do. They've only been down once (planned) in around 6 months.
