Hello everyone,

While spending time in communities like NamePros, I often see discussions about how branding plays a big role in the long-term value of a domain or a business. A strong brand name combined with the right strategy can create recognition and trust over time.

This made me think about how some companies also build brand recall through corporate gifting and customized merchandise. Instead of simply relying on digital marketing, businesses sometimes distribute useful items like notebooks, customised bottles, customised tshirts, or small tech accessories during events, conferences, or onboarding programs.

For example, many companies provide employee welcome kits to new hires or offer small return gifting items during corporate events. When these products are practical and used daily, they can keep the brand visible for a long time—similar to how a memorable domain name keeps a brand easy to recall online.

From a branding perspective, both strategies seem to focus on the same goal: creating consistent visibility so that people remember the brand naturally.

I’m curious to hear from people in the domain and branding space here. Do you think physical brand touchpoints like merchandise or ecofriendly gifts can complement digital branding efforts such as a strong domain name and website presence?

Would be interesting to hear how businesses combine online identity with offline brand visibility.

Maybe even handing out free stickers with a domain brand on them could spread the word long-term: https://www.namepros.com/threads/ha...th-your-domain-portfolio-url-on-them.1355134/

Or partnering with a cab driver, uber driver, lyft driver, etc. https://www.namepros.com/threads/jo...domain-portfolio-or-related-services.1356036/

There's also brand placement on a food or beverage container/wrapper: https://www.namepros.com/threads/pr...romote-a-domain-portfolio-or-service.1355810/

You could blast an airport with ads: https://www.namepros.com/threads/10...rvice-at-an-airport-a-creative-bonus.1355897/

There's also billboard options: https://www.namepros.com/threads/us...n-portfolio-or-a-domain-landing-page.1354748/

And we can't leave out all the FREE off-line and online advertising options for domain brand exposure: https://www.namepros.com/threads/le...domain-portfolio-or-related-services.1356107/

There's tons of possibilities when it comes to merchandising a domain brand (The above are just quick references) in the real world.

Interesting topic.

yes it can help a little because useful merchandise keeps the brand in front of people but in my opinion the domain name and website are still the main identity online merchandise only supports the branding but the real long term value usually comes from a strong memorable domain
