It seems whenever someone makes a post about the latest thing that post grows and grows, with many people reg'ing those "hyped up" names.

Wouldn't it be a good idea for registrars to pay "Inside DNers" to hype something up as much as posssible in as many DN forumss as possible. Then once the thread has been around a while that "Insied DNer" could fwd copies of the thread to his "Registrar Pimps" They check the list and payout for what they reg'd....

Most of these Hype threads seems to be bumped by the same people which causes more DNers to see it causeing more registrations.

Wow if you did this in 10 plus DN forums a day you could probably be responsible for 100's of new reg's...

Just a thought.... Any comments.. Please. :sold:

No need. No need ever too. People will do it themselves...

Considering the thousands of registrations every day, registrars really wont be interested in doing such espionage just to get a few more. Not to mention there are lots of registrars aswell - they wouldn't be able to guarantee that they'd get the bonus registrations.

And i'm assuming a recent example you're thinking of is the whole blook thing...well as one of the less regular posters in there, I can safely say I havent been bribed to add hype to the phrase. I wish I had though. If there are any registrar owners reading this who want to pay me, PM me for my PayPal address...

If something is worth the hype, it will get it.

You can't force people into something that's not worth it. It would also be bad for registrars to get so much hype up for a product or service that customers are dissapointed with what they recieve.

Put it this way - go to www.scriptlance.com and see how many people are advertising jobs like this:

"post 200 forum enteries hyping my product. must be different forums and related to my business."

You can get someone to do that for you for peanuts. I don't believe its happening in this case, however.
