Thanks Armstrong. I am not sure how that happened and was looking for a way to correct it. Is there anyway to get rid of thw redundant listings so that only one shows? Thanks again.

They contain slightly different text. Which one do you want retained? You can also just edit out the posts you don't need.

I bid this up to 5K and was outbid by proxy by a "new ebay member" with zero feedback. Sounds like a shill bider to me. Caveat Emptor

Dnbuy.com

This domain name along with the associated website is currently on auction at eBay. What do you feel the name (along with all other extensions) is worth without the website? If you want to appraise the website as well you can find all of the details here.

To be honest i would find it difficult to value the entire site, however the domain name itself i would say about high xx - low xxx. However with the vast amount of domains, the decent page rank and popularity the entire site is worth a fair bit and i think you are doing really well at the moment as it's at 10k, however i would also expect it to get more. If it doesn't hit your reserve then i would keep it and market it a bit more, get the pr up and then sell it again.

in reference to new post 2 posts above: new thread merged again

Please no spamming your auction in multiple separate threads, in the guise of appraisals or whatnot. You're selling a complete website via an ebay auction, and this current thread is sufficient for purposes of that particular sale. Thank you for understanding.

I saw the same thing and was concerned. I can tell you that if I wnted to shill bid this auction, I would have made it a private auction to keep the bidders identity private. I have added a clause to the auction that any bids by members with less than 5 feedback can be withdrawn unless they contact previous to 24 hours before the auctions close.

As to Armstrongs request, I apologize for posting in in the appraisals as well as the websites for sale. Although I admit to wanting to generate as much interest as possible in the auction, I was actually trying guage the difference between what people felt the domain names alone were worth as opposed to the assets of the business. There will be no further new postings regarding this auction.

you might have better luck listing at wht.

not too many people around here have the kind of money you deserve or are looking to spend that kinda money. funny how people offer $2000 for an almost quarter million dollar a year business that already comes with $6k to start. kinda insulting.
anyways, good luck

minimum bid was for $999, set by seller, so not that insulting!

I am sorry but I am clueless as to what WHT is. Could you please send me more information on this?

I think the $999 was to get the bids going ;) notice theres a reserve???

of course...but the comment before was that $2k was insulting.

as for reserve - bidding now $59600 and reserve not yet met!

Although I certainly didn't take it as an insult as the starting was by design as techlance brought out, it did make me chuckle. Realistically why would someone bid less than $6000.00 for an established 3.5 year old business that has more than $6000 in cash in an account that you get with the auction? Add to this the fact the company takes little time to run, has been profitable from day one, has thousands of active customers, tens of thousands of domain names under management and revenues of over $200K/year and you do have to wonder if the people making the initial bids of $1 or $2K seriously thought they had a shot.

Because it's ebay. Ebay has 2 kinds of auctions, the kind that you make $1.50 on a $3.00 item because you don't set a reserve, and the kind where people set a reserve of $5,000,000 for a name with 37 letters and a - in it. Both are silly IMHO.
I'm not insinuating this aucton is either one of the above cases. I did make my bid into the low-mid $xx,xxx as well after clarification was given on what looked like a shill bider. Good luck with the sale.

Regards,
Mike
