I think, since they're a very particular type and size of end-users, be realistic with price in this case. Dj-ing is huge... but they aren't a huge corporation, and even the dj expo will have limited funds with marketing/names.
I would think if you keep to a real, but still worthwhile xxx to x,xxx, you can still make some specie on the name but not scare them away.
If they were a huge corp, of course they might go for your name, which indeed contains the 2 most prime keywords. There are a couple ways to approach it:
with a hot expo like that - which will only get bigger each year - why sell the name when you can raise a site that will get a lot of click-thru traffic for years to come (as long as they keep calling their bash 'djexpo', ha). It's a name that a domainer might make more $ with than the dj-ers themselves.
Or, you can ask for a little more $ if you talk to any of them who knows about domains, and convince him it's an investment since they'll be getting a lot of type-ins for years to come...
I would think SOMEONE would want this name for that purpose.
As far as each individual buyer you deal with... if you price it too high, you might have the name on your hands for awhile, since they could easily register:
djbigbash.com
hottestdjexpo.com
or even just
hottestdj.com
They're not as prime as yours, but the price is right.
gift: they're still up for grabs, and hottestdj.com is very sellable
