Distributing a product which is named after your domain

If I register a domain name (two words).com , 2 months later a new product with your domain name is launched .Is it ok to become a distributor in your country using a different business name?

You mean a distributor for that business? They might not allow it without their
permission or working out an agreement of sorts, even if their product name is
"coincidentally" the same as your domain registration.

Now, you don't happen to consider registering that domain name because you
might've heard about that product, do you?

Complicated answer actually. Can you name the 2 countries? Have you been related to the business genre before the product launch?

Part of a WIPO decision is intent at time of registration. If they can show it was bad faith registration you could lose the domain. However they also have the burden of 2 other things. But for one it appear they have a genuine product.

Yes,I meant distributing their product by signing an agreement without using the domain name.But the domain name was registered , developed and in operational for more than one year as a company .it offers different services which go with the name.

You have 2 different scenarios here, is it 2 months or 1 year? What you do have to be careful of, as mentioned, is the "intent" part. It seems like you maybe be priviledged to inside information, if so, this can hurt you if it is able to be proven. But if you do become a distributor, you will need theri permission to use the domain since they are the TM holder. Many distributorships and affiliates prohibited from using the TM. Take Amazon.com, they have a ffiliate sites, but none of them can legally use Amazon in their domain name.
