I'm disgusted by this... when they say "tears guaranteed" it just makes me sick... and the description of the video is also misleading!

**WARNING** This video is ... cruel. It's simply sick - not gory but .... ugh! They're making fun of the attacks! :yell:

I think something like this which could offend tens or hundreds of millions of people with misleading information and keywords (e.g. the description and video title) should be censored or at least revised so it gives definate warnings of its offensiveness - but really, things like this have no business being online. Ok Matt, I will address this issue for you again.

Think about the cartoons, if you think that Muhammed wearing a bomb for a turban doesn't make a very serious point, then I suggest that you do some really deep thinking.

I would say that the video isn't actually as insulting as the cartoon. But Matt, did you think that the cartoons should be banned?

As for Google in China, that is a paradox and only a recent change. I don't understand what you are supposed to have "won". Would you like Google to be censored to like Google.cn?

So who decides what is offensive and what is not?
Do we let some radical right wing conservative do it?
Do we let some radical left wing democrat do it?

What is offensive to some is not necessarily offensive to others. How do you decide what gets censored?

This thread is pointless, no one is going to win this because plain and simple everyone has their own opinions and beliefs, people that weren't affected by 9-11 with find it find, whilst others won't, I personnaly don't but you do't see me saying get it off the net, lets get google to remove it, why, because I have no right to do this, neither do you.

Internet is the free speech capital if you will, stuff like this will always be on the net, there will always be people that make this stuff, what are you gonna do make it your goal to get everything you don't like removed off the net, get real. it's never going to happen, if you find something on th enet you don't agree with or like, why the hell post it in another forum where 100's maybe 1000's of people will see it, i'm ure if you hadn't posted this probably the majority of people here wouldn't have seen it, also by posting it what have you acheived, nothing, apart from showing how uneducated and ignorant to peoples beliefs you really are. I'm not going to get into a flame war or anything, but some things are best left alone, this is one of them.IMHO

I don't know much about Muhammed so I can't comment on that... he was some Muslim prophet but that's all I know.

I won your argument of "don't bring up china" because you know it contradicts your statement, you're just trying to hide it. And when you reply to this you'll say something like "how am I hiding it, what am I hiding" and then try and prove me wrong on this... again.

I didn't start this up for insults against me (not saying all posts here are) but... I'm going to request this be locked. A mature person would be able to know that this is not a partisan issue, it is a human rights issue and you are suggesting censorship.

Ok, imagine a whole article in a massive muslim paper saying how Christianity is a violent and farcical religion, and how the main figure head of christianity is a violent suicide bomber.
Imagine how you would feel.
Those cartoons were taking the actions of EXTREMISTS and generalising those actions to the entire Muslim religion.

I just wanted to add that. Just so that Matt can see the other side. Because the cartoons were equally insulting, if not worse than the video, but the general consensus was that they should be allowed to continue for the sake of free speech (with which I agree). But then, you can't just dismiss that more than 1 billion people were insulted hugely.

Besides, the tone is definitely getting a bit ugly in here, and we don't need that. Everybody relax, it's Friday night.

As a side note, I would like to thank the MODS, for letting us have these threads the last couple days, without shutting them down.

I hope everyone will remember those sentiments once we start shutting some of them down. We try to give space and freedom to express yourself in the break room, but we have to draw the line somewhere. There are plenty of political and religious forums on the net, if people wish to get deeper into these topics.
