According to an article on DomainInvesting, Elliot Silver says that "most of us missed the bus...again."
By again, he means that once we missed it in the very beginning when the domain industry was at its infancy, and then again, when people did not invest in numeric domains!!

Here is an excerpt from the article that highlights the point:

"Some numeric domain names that were sold for $500-$1,000 just a few years ago are selling for $8,000 – $15,000 +- on a regular basis. Some domain names that sold for $10,000 – $25,000 a few years ago are selling for six figures +- on a regular basis. Some of the better names that would have been in the mid five to low six figures a few years ago are now selling for high six and low seven figures +/-."

You may find the article on DomainInvesting

Just wondering if you cashed in on this numeric season, or you too missed the boat??
Please share your experiences of numeric domains - profits and losses, if any!!

Prices are definitely rising significantly - I have now had 114 offers in three years for 1066.com and just last week had offers from five separate parties in the low towards mid $xx,xxx range !

Are the Asian folk going for other extensions such as .cc instead?
