What makes a dictionary word valuable?

Are there dictionary words that aren't worth reg fee?

Can someone please enlighten me on this matter?

Dictionary words that are commonly used are the valuable ones. It's basically things that are likely to get type-in traffic. Computer.com is good, but Computationally.com is crap, probably not worth the reg fee. You want commonly used words in the form they are actually used, no prefixes or suffixes (ed, s, ing, ly, ect).

somewhere I read that all (arguably the valuable ones) the dictionary words are already taken, for most of the classical extension. com .org. net .

I wouldn't say that that statement is true at all, It was only the other day that I posted this post with available 1 word domain names:

Its that you need to know how to find them :hehe:

Typically, the more people are looking for a dictionary word, the more valuable it is. While it is true that most good words are taken in the major extensions, .us is starting to become more popular with the recent high dollar sales. There are still some good words left in that extension, as well as .cc.

I've posted a link to some available words with the number of searches performed on them per month on Yahoo.

Enjoy!
