After testing Bodis, I can see that some domains will need to be developed to make good revenue. I took these expired domains and developed the content, colors and graphics using Bodis and got these results (3 1/2 months):

Visitors Clicks CTR Revenue
Chandelier-earrings.net 1209 434 36% $106.08
Perverse-pleasures.com 2499 389 16% $93.59
Airsoft-Outlet.com 1925 409 21% $84.77
AllAmericanBowling.com 2206 322 15% $75.81
EDiamondHeartJewelry.COM 798 313 39% $61.56

What do you guys recommend for developing small mini-sites. I am encouraged that I can develop these into small mini-sites and do just as well as Bodis. Can any of you guys recommend a site that has great hosting prices and multiple domains? It will need to be a great price to be profitable.

There are quite a few different opinions on how is the best way to do this. I can only speak of what has worked for me and that would be WhyPark. Some will agree and some will not. If you would like to know more information on how I use WhyPark, click the first link in my signature. It is my affiliate site, but it also gives some tips.

Also yesterday, I created an AStore (Amazon Affiliate Store) that is hosted at WhyPark. Here is the link to that site...

Good Luck!

How much did you have to pay for the Amazon site ?

Also, your Mortgage Site is set up very, very nice. Looks very professional. I guess I need to work on my html skills.

Amazon Affiliates do not have to pay anything...

Thanks!

Have you made any money from your AStores yet?

For single page, simple informational sites, I would probably recommend WhyPark (although they've had some uptime issues recently - hopefully those are fixed now) $99 for 100 sites.

If you want or need to get a little more complicated (for example, I have some sites for which I absolutely need to use PHP and MySQL) then you can get GoDaddy hosting for as little as around $3.50/month per site.

I would recommend hostgator for your hosting. A reseller account lets you add as many domains as you wish for only $25 per month.

I ended up with about $2500 in sales and enough items sold to get into the 7% bracket...

Whypark is excellent for minisite dev. However, only use your own unique content since your sites will be penalized for dup content (ie - other people using the same keywords and generating the same articles).

The Baby Croc plan lets you add on as many domains as you want for only $9.99 a month. It depends on what you want to do. I have never tried Whypark but it does seem interesting.

Hostgator is good, and you can also try dreamhost or servage. All of them allow you to have unlimited sites. If you need any help, just PM me.

Am I missing something here?

I thought the discussion was how to develop sites, not how to host sites :)

Thanks.

- GoDaddy's $6.99 p/m plan allows for unlimited domains, but personally I don't like the control panel
- apthost.com provides unlimited addon domain hosting for $5.95 p/m
- hostgo.com, hostnine.com both provide unlimited addon domains for $6.95 p/m
- hostforweb.com, hostgator.com and dreamhost.com provide unlimited addon domain hosting for $9.95 p/m

If you're starting off your hosting, Hostgator works well and you can move to one of the higher plans as your sites grow, perhaps a reseller or a plan which allows unlimited add on domains with lager space. There are so many discounts coupons around so this may help you with initial costs.

As for developing mini-sites, Wordpress I would recommend, it's easy to install from your hosting account, easily modified and customized, many templates and plugins available. Most people think that Wordpress is only for blogs but with its flexibility you can actually make sites that don't even look like blogs.
Alternatively there is HyperVRE and Website Article Wizard which gives you the ability to make mini-sites really fast. They also have modules built in to be able to implement ads like YPN, Adsense, Amazon and Ebay easily.
