I need some tips on how to develop and expand a community I have just recently started, a few days ago. It is more a community than just a forum, here is the current list of features:
  • Blog (currently in desperate need of content related to the subject, not the website)
  • Forum (has a few members and some posts)
  • Email (three (including mine) addresses taken)
  • Jabber (One account registered)
There's also a good chance of there being an IRC channel soon, as one of the members is a staffer on devnode.org and suggested the idea to me - the network is fairly new and needs members to grow.
Is there anything obvious I have missed? Currently, my only source of advertising is two Linux forums I have mentioned it on, is there something else I could do?

nice site man; completely un-obvious that you can do anything on it though; really needs to show some things like "latest members" "latest forum posts" "join here" what the site is about etc on the home page; i know ti does that latter - but at the base of the page. lovely site but soooo un obvious that you can do anything on it!
