Developed vs Undeveloped

After seeing the last reported sale on the sticky thread, i started asking my self what is better. Develop a domain to get high ranking on google? Just try to resell it?

For example:

If you buy a domain for 40$. And can resell it for 200$ but with develop you can resell it for 500$. Its good? Yes offcourse, but the time needed to get that 300$ extra is worth it?

Whats your opinion?

I think it all depends on your interests and abilities; there is no "Correct" answer.

Some people really enjoy the negotiation process; they do well buying and selling domains.

Others would rather write and/or have technical skills useful in building sites.

It also depends on the kind of income you need/want. Some like the thrill of making money from irregular sales. Others prefer steady income from developed sites.

Whatever works best for you.
