Hi,

Dater.com is not a domain that I was able to acquire. I did bid for it on the Pool auction.

As a note to the appraisal given referencing a possible value of XX dollars. I would like to tell you that the domain was auctioned for $36,0008.00. You are reading it correctly. I could hardly believe my eyes.

Thought you would all find this most interesting.................
By the way, the auction closed this morning.

You should only put the domain to appraisals which you own.

Remember domains are valued to whatever a person is willing to pay for them so no need to laugh at somebody just because they will pay way to much for a domain that is not even it's worth they will have to do a lot to recoup that money. Just my opinion.

Aparently its worth $36,008 to somebody. Seems a bit overpriced to me for a slightly awkward term like 'daters'. I would have pegged the name's value around $5,000.

I too think it somewhat awkward. If I were buying it, I wouldn't bid more than $1,000 on this one, perhaps even much less.

At any rate, as pointed out this belongs to domain discussions, as thread starter does not own the domain. Thread moved.

When I see these crazy pool.com values for names I have to wonder what the stats are at Pool on failed auctions.

I can't imagine someone maintaining their high on crack that long to actually go through with the purchase.

i agree with rj i would have valued it around 4000 - 5500
