I just snapped this one up after seeing it listed on a thread under 'Domain Discussion' the link is below, there are many 1 word .coms listed there that are available. :sold:

Any Thoughts on Value of This ??

Nice reg :)

You can probably get more than reg fee for it, it isnt so bad. for development if your name is Ed and your are a bit on the Evil side you could do a blog called Dark Ed, just a thought  Sorry straying a bit there.

For value its hard to say, perhaps mid $xx unless you find a motivated enduser :)

:gn:

Goodluck with it :)

But it is brandable. No TM problems that I am aware of....

well noones gonna take it for more than low xx without any inherent value in it.

Brandable = Something that has no inherent value and needs to be marketed well enough to gain on value imo.

No, TM is not a plus, its an absolute necessity.

But i can be wrong. Thats just my opinion.

I see your point. It is hard to move a lot of domains anyway. But in my opinion I would prefer darked.com to tgpl.com (As an example). :imho: :)

Well TGPL has an inherent value being a LLLL (com) and an all premium at that.

You would choose darked over TGPL as an "end user" not a reseller. As a reseller, the inherent value counts more, as you probably wouldnt spend a lot of time in marketing the name.

Compare "Darked" to "Lagoza" for example. In the two darked is more meaningful and thus memorable. These two are comparable because they have the same features / properties.

There can be certain words that have a value for themselves plus they can be brandable like pronounceable 4-letters, but thats another story i guess.

it's a nice name, true

if you're lucky, maybe there will be an end-user for it

Reseller value for this type of short, past tense, good dictionary (otherwise) is low to mid - xx. Good luck!

Thanks, thought it was a good reg.

I'm thinking i may hold onto it and turn it into a Social 'Gothic/Music' type site when i have the time.

I still like the Dark Ed suggestion.

Maybe like a goth Ann Landers:

Dear Dark Ed,

Today my mom disrespected the Great Lord Gorgoroth by throwing away my effigy of him.

What should I do?

Gloomily yours,

Cursed in Seattle

Dear Cursed in Seattle,

The answer is clear. You must kill your mother on the eve of the next solstice and drink her blood from her knee caps. Then create a new effigy from her left, or sinister, femur.

Go in Darkness,

Dark Ed, Lord of the Darked
