doesn't exactly inspire a stolid vibe of confidence
but certainly a clever & memorable play on words

You are targeting a niche application - one would imagine that any serious startup venture looking to stake its claim in this territory would either pay a bit to get an impressively appropriate domain (ie BuyDomains), or invest in marketing to brand an "empty vessel" (ie Sedo, TDNAM) ... so (IMO) "daftermarket" may not be too attractive for its targeted end-user application, at least not for the major league players who might pay big bucks for the right name.

May appeal to one of us wacky small-timers though - could actually make a decent name for a blog commenting on the daftness of the aftermarket - plenty of low-hanging fruit to rant about there!

So ... maybe an "inversion" of the typical valuation ->
end-user: $0
reseller wearing beer goggles: $10 to $20

but it is a dastardly clever name - kudos for your creativity, & good luck with it!

er, where i come from, "Dafter" has a negative meaning. so dafter market is not so good.
which is probably why dnaftermarket is gone in many extensions, but daftermarket is only gone in .com, therefore i have to agree with abcproductions appraisal.

My natural language isn't English (it's Dutch) and I didn't realise Daft or Dafter exists. But when I google the inet I find Dafter is:

The most stupid, crazy, foolish, insane, ...

And ALSO: Second most influential city in Michigan. Home to some 550,000 people, the metropolis has one of the highest rates of gang violence in the United States, and is where the controversial film "10 Mile" is based on.

So the use for DafterMarket is quite clear...
The domain using like Domain After Market was my first idea.
(have my portfolio running on sitemerchandise.com and maybe I will use this name to for this website, it's great memorable)

Do you think mid xx is to high-grabbed?
