Custom IE Toolbar

Hey there

I own a search engine website & im basically trying to push to forward as much as possible... make it as easy as possible for people to use. I know its been done a million times but I want to make a toolbar for Internet Explorer.

I mentioned this to a friend of mine who owns DownSeek because I'd had seen in the past that his site has a toolbar. He mentioned a website that will generate a toolbar for you (I forget the name of the site atm) but one worrying thing he said to me was that most toolbars of small sites (and DownSeek is **much** bigger than my own) is that they end up being recognized as Spyware.

Does anyone have any experience in this?
Has anyone used one of these programs that make you a toolbar? Who did you use and how did it go?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter

If I was you. I'd make one for Firefox because more people use it.

hehe actually more people use IE but I do agree that I should make one for FireFox aswell

The last thing IE needs is another toolbar. Take a look at the search box API for IE7 and the search plugin API for firefox.

That's the route I'd go.
