Custom forum software wanted

I am sick and tired of using another company’s software to run my discussion communities due to several reasons and one of which is their agreement form which pretty much says they can shut you down and take away your license for just about any reason and I have owned them all from Vbulletin, UBB and so on.

I would like to find a professional or a team of professionals who can work together to design a High Quality custom forum software that would be in PHP and be SEO compliant as much as possible.
I am thinking along the lines of Vbulletin, only better.

I am looking to spend $3,500 in development of the software.

I have no idea where to start as I am not looking for those who have just started- this must be a professional job and since Vbulletin is the highest standard forum software-I’d like to have one that is either equal to or surpasses it. Any one interested? I will be gone on a business trip today through thursday night- I will come back and check out any replies at that time.

Wow, I didn't know there was that kind of money in conding. Is that price for the rights to it or just to own it?

Out of curiousity, why do you want it in PHP? I currently do everything in asp, but maybe i should look into PHP, is it a lot easier to code interactive site material?

Anyways, it might be hard to get someone to just "code" a forum for you. I know a guy who has been working on a PHP forum, and to make it worthwhile, he has to keep making changes all the time. At scriptlance, you might be able to find a group of people who already have experience in it, or have the amount of time to get it done.
