Custom content question

Hi,

I'm not really too long in this business (2 months ago I didn't even know the word 'domain' :guilty:) and I'm still messing around with various options, so please excuse if my question sounds silly.

Not too long, I realised that a domain without traffic is useless for parking. So, I wondered what I could do with a domain until it sells or until I decide to get rid of it.

I remembered then that domainapps mentioned something called 'custom content' and tried it out... after some time of searching on the net I came accross SEO parking also, which had a similar approach and tried that out too.

My question is.

does the content I use while I wait for a chance to sell my domains, will be a problem with a future developer?

for example, I own some UK area code domains. I've set them up in domainapps to contain various articles, pics, weather etc. of the area code they describe in their URL.

another example would be my sturdybrakes domain which has articles about clutches, brakes, car parts etc.

I have set all my custom content domains crawled with webmaster tools and bing. I also have linked some of them (only those that have relevant info) between each other.

Right now, I notice that they have increased their citation and trust flow along with their index with google BUT that happened with the content I have set on them.

Again, am I doing something wrong? will that be a negative factor for a future company(?) that buys the domain if they have my content shown up in google's result and/or history?

I'd love some comments and guidance on this

Thanks in advance

Not at all, in fact many people daily buy expired domains only to take advantages from the traffic and backlinks they had. People who got into a site and see it has been overhauled will at least see what is it about and they will return if they see it is similar to the former site or it is about their interests.
You should try to keep the custom content consequently to the keywords used on the domain. For example is your domain is nicebags.com, then you should keep the referrals link inside the fashion/bags/clothes themes.

I have been with domainapps.com for 4 years and spent 100's of hours scouring every inch of there service. First off their articles they provide are poison, duplicate content, you will get burnt using there articles. Buy an article for each site, one fresh yummy for google. Nice relevant content. I just bought 3 more articles, for 9$ so important. There apps are awesome most of the time. Stay away from the twitter one, You wont make much with there ads, I got a 13cent click a few weeks ago woohoo. So my advice, buy a name, leave it parked at godaddy or wherever. Then buy an article, set it up at domain apps, with 0 homepage articles and 1 related article on the sidebar. # of stock articles 3
This is all in settings.Just get the bare bones set up, then ad some unique content as often as you can. Would you pm me a couple of your site names so I can go look?
Example of my domainapps site is www.Solarideas.net good luck to you, welcome to domaining,

First of all, thanks for the answers

My question was more about, if using custom content for domains that are meant to be sold is a good strategy rather than parking or just leaving them inactive. Also, another question was, what effect a custom content will have on the domains.

@masterofmydomains
I haven't paid too much attention on the articles provided, other than trying to provide relevant keywords for the content . Are you saying that these will have a negative impact on the domain?
Also, domainapps provide more than articles.
For example, on my elitegames()info domain, I've set flash games instead of articles.
On my bestibizaclubs()com, I've set videos of clubbing on ibiza
...and so on

If you leave them parked and undeveloped you definately reduce your chances of getting hosed by google, by not meeting guidlines, you might disappear from google search engine. Its happened to me before. I feel it is worth more developed, create some links, some fresh articles. Mine stay parked now until I have the content needed. So it could go either way as to park or make a mini site with your domain. I use alot of apps, and if someone buys it, those links will still work, gradually disappear.I go check out your sites, see whats up. Any more questions just ask

YES, the content domain apps provides is duplicate 10 times over. I have a site, only one of their articles, 2 of mine. Their article is the same article over and over even though I clicked stock articles 4 articles. So I copy paste first two sentences in "quotation marks" and it is on 970 other sites and was originally published by some article site in 2009
I dont want 4 year old articles, do you?

At elitegames :)info, very nice site, you created, your first article I see is called

Best Board Games for Kids Available Now Online Shopping Portals

I copy and paste the first sentence and a half, its on 1320 other sites, google doesn't like that. Also on the side, Related Articles, one of the articles is the same one that is first on your homepage.
So you have the same article twice,an article that is on 1320 other sites. All you need is 10-15$ dollars to get some original content, even if its one homepage article and one related article on the side. You can also have no related article, put zero and add some text links to other sites or infomation, whatever just original chit man. If you have zero related articles, I would put 1 homepage article, stock articles 3. the more stock articles you put, the more pages google thinks you have.Sell some text links on the left side there, maybe some gamer on here will swap you links. There are writers here that offer their services, there is a section for that about half way down main page.

Now, that is some really good info. Really appreciated.

I never thought those random articles would do so much damage. I'll begin some clean up very soon.

If it's not a problem for you I'd like you to check 2 more domains.
1. bitcoins-for-free()com . I'd like you to check what I've put on the first page and give me your feedback please

2. ...any one of my domains that I have on SEOparking. embassies()mx, youngandjobless()co.uk, A-R-T()fr, travel-online()co.uk , and so on (I have sent you a pm with all the domains I have custom content on).
I just want your opinion of seoparking's articles. Are they as damaging as domainapps are?

many thanks again :)

bitcoins-for-free

Great job, as good as I could do. Those 2 articles under the video's duplicate content...
Everything else looks great. You have 2100 pages indexed at gooogle,
https://www.google.ca/#q=site:bitcoins-for-free.com

embassies()mx goes to a parked page

What I see of seoparking, nothing appealing. Domain apps is better. One thing wrong with domain apps is no email. So I keep the nameservers at godaddy's and change the "a" record, that way I can use godad email.
Keep up the good work, it will pay off

Thanks master ( ;) ) , your help keeps my morale up for sure

maybe when you find the time you'll visit embassies again. Unfortunately, .mx domains take a really long time to update through the net, for example, in my location (greece) it shows normally.
I spent a lot of time gathering addresses and mails of embassies in mexico around the web. It'd be nice if you could pay a visit when it finishes updating the nameservers.

thanks again

sorry for bumping but I felt I should share this with everyone -especially with the newer members like me-

@master of my domains , you were 100% right. I just got 16 of my domains de-indexed because of -as google called it- spammy content.

Every domain I had on SEOparking that used ready made articles (domainapps sites hasn't been affected yet) got tagged as a spam site lol

It seems I have a lot of work to do
