Seems that .org is losing it's appeal.

LLN.ORG or any combination thereof, where are they headed? If one gets an offer to sell a 3 character .ORG for less than $2, then there's something seriously wrong with the perception of value.

Shouldn't LLN.ORG be worth at the very least its own registration value and where will this extension be headed in the future?

I've been offered pennies for domains/sites I would consider to be worth a large amount more than that.

If I was going to buy a LLN.org, I'd be looking to spend reg fee+- on a poor combination and probably $50 for a decent one. There's no problem with .org, it just comes second to .com and .net as a general tld.

Mike,

In my eyes, if I were coming into the game, I obviously want to have .com - first and foremost as my name... lets say I cant get my name in .com or .net or .org - so i decide to abreviate my name... well, now I cant get that abbreviation in com, .net, or .org - so I come up with a abbreviation with a number in it... once I get this far, If I dont get a .com - I dont want the .net let alone the .org.

I dont like the idea that these are going up in value. I feel like this is entirely enflated by domainers, who are looking to gobble them up in the hopes theyll be worth $100 next year... its not a true market demand - atleast I dont think so.

I can say, my portfolio consists of only 1 such domain name. 3 Char.org and honestly - I snagged it for traffic and have been dissapointed everyday since.
