I'm spending this days sending emails to potential endusers for Ecommerce...
Let's see what happens.

Only mistake I made (as others from what I can see) is to forget writing in the domain description that has standard renewal fee.
I wrote yesterday to Sedo to see if it can be added.

If Shoes.tv sells for $18,000, doesn't somebody need "socks.tv" to go with there shoes. At least give me a "lowball bid" to make me feel important:)

I like, Tech.tv to sell the highest. Hopefully a 2nd bidder will come in and create a "bidding war"

Thanks, Jim

Advertisement.tv is at 500$
I made the opening bid for it and another couple but the 500$ one is not mine.
Let's go .tv

I have a feeling that we arnt going to see very high prices for most these. Seems like a lot of players are coming to market hoping to take advantage of the renewed interest. While they'll almost certainly fetch more than they would have 6 months ago they probably wont live up to high expectations.

I wish more .tv'rs would adopt a BUY and HOLD mentality instead of trying to flip the first chance they get, then maybe we would see genuinely rich pricing.

I sure hope you're wrong about this...

Agree 100%

Verisign is doing their part to help create some higher monetary Value by re-pricing new .TV drops waaay high now. That helps us all in our own portfolio investments.

I do love the thought of long-term holding, and I am definitely on that course with at least 1/3 to half of my current portfolio, but we also need to see some constant activity, to keep the .TV's constantly fresh in the MarketPlace also...of course with hopes of more .TV's eventually being developed.

This is a great auction to reflect the absolute values here and now for our Product.tv domains though, and I only hope the best for everyone.

C'mon, lets see some more "Shoes" types of .TV sales!!!

...or we adopt a BUY and HOLD mentality and .tv falls off the radar in 2, 3 or 4 years. Strike while the irons hot, is my opinion.:)

The truth is the iron may only be lukewarm. A few months ago it was ice cold. But if you really believed in the extension you wouldn't worry about it falling off the map. Not now or ever.

I believe in .tv and I believe it's hot right now, not lukewarm.

then why sell tech for 4k? why not wait for 40 or 400?

Because I am being realistic.

If it sells for 4k, then it sells for 4k that would be it's 'real' value. Now I don't want that to happen, but who knows.

Maybe the .tv believers are right and this is just the beginning and .tv is going to be huge. I still have a few up my sleeve that I am going to hold.

....the good thing is it is an end user that bid on it.

And I think you've proven that you're a realist as I see it as a tremendous ROI.

Bought for $20, sold for at least $4000 or maybe more...

This would make me feel really good!

I'm a little bit disappointed about ecommerce being still with no bids but everything can happen in next days.

no offense guys but "realistic" is starting to sound a lot like a euphemism for "chicken".

whats good about a "tremendous roi" if in fact one is passing up the opportunity for an even more tremendous roi. its rather obvious that 40k is 10x better than 4k. imo opinion 4k was a domainer price, something that you should have got if you needed cash right away and flipped it here. if thats the case then you did the right thing.

but in the long run success comes down to the courage to turn away loball offers and stand your ground. if you belive that interested buyers will balk at paying those levels then you will always be selling yourself short and leaving potentially life-changing sums on the table.

every situation is uniques and has to be weighed on its merits. naturally when a fellow domainer offers you a certain amount and says they wont/cant pay more than you probably ought to belive its true, more or less, and if you feel its fair and want to move on then thats fine - take the roi and let them assume the risk at the higher purchase level. we all know that corporate offers dont come that often. this is as true in .com as anything, in .tv its even more rare to see corporate offers though they do seem to be increasing.

large corporate buyers often use agents or otherwise obfuscate their identities so i always assume until proven otherwise that any inquiry is a very interested and very well off buyer. and any midsize company thats needs a particular name will in fact pay up when they firmly understand that they cannot get the name cheaper. but they will keep trying to get it cheaper until they do firmly understand this.
if a buyer tells me they are a small outfit or a nonprofit i say "prove it". i've even given names away to bona fide non-profits when they do and i like what they are up to.

domains are substantial business assets whether they are .com, .net, .tv, or .wtf. i dont care what the name is or how i feel about it, if someone knocks then they must have their reasons for wanting it and i have to assume they are valid and commercial in intent. over the years i've turned away a lot more offers than i've taken and in the end i belive i've come out far ahead. thats realistic.
