domain Curious about updig.com

Hello all,

I'm rather new to domaining here - thanks for the great forums and everyone's contributions in the past - I am learning a lot going through the history of posts and hope to start participating regularly.

I saw updig.com come up the other day, and I liked it being 5 letters, 2 short words, a .com - and even the estibot value is super high!

Anyone have an idea about a ballpark on updig.com? Curious maybe as to why estibot has it valued so high.

From what I can see updig appears to be an acronym for something photography related. I like it as a brandable but it's difficult to put a price on it. Estibot is worthless but as for price anywhere from $xx to low $x,xxx imo.

Thanks for input, as for estibot - is it generally a worthless source? Or just in this example it is unhelpful?

I would not really on estibot, it's another source of data, go by your own opinion.

What end users do you envisage for updig.com?

Well, being a little naive about the reality of internet development I initially had interest because its short, pronouncable, etc - but I see some of its brand-able potential as something stand alone, or perhaps a specific searching/finding/browsing tool or resource. None of which I immediately know how to begin to foster or develop - but would sure like to explore some ideas.

like @accelerator said - try not to rely on estibot, the average searches a month is useful and the other stats but the appraised value is usually worthless. Try submitting the name to Brandbucket or one of the other brandable marketplaces, it's difficult to do any type of outbound marketing for a brandable name like this, the best thing you can do is try and get as many eyes on it as possible.

Makes sense, I will go that route - maybe it will strike a chord with someone out there! I hadn't checked out Brand Bucket before, very cool site and concept. I appreciate everyone's input very much!
