CSS fix for IE

Hi,
I'm rebuilding my site using CSS. I got a template that I thought was IE compliant but some people aren't seeing the site correctly (it is good on one of my machines but not on the other). I understand that IE sometimes compresses the width of CSS which I think is my problem. The body is showing up below the right and left columns and the header graphics don't appear side by side. Here are some screen captures of what IE is doing to the page:

Here is the actual page: http://www.workathomesuccess.com

Here is the link to the CSS page: http://www.workathomesuccess.com/css/style.css

Any help will be appreciated!

It seems like the IE version is narrower than when viewed in FF. I checked your CSS, and your width is specified at 76em. I've never specified a width in em, but if you specify with % it might work better with IE.

I also believe the way you floated the left, center, and right columns may not be ideal for IE. You can take a look at my CSS and xhtml from my site, www.puredl.com, which works on FF, IE6.0+, and Opera (those three are the only ones tested so far).

Also, my 3 column layout was really messed up in IE6.0 at one time, changing the width of the right column to 1px smaller fixed it. IE sucks...

%?

Hi Jym...
Thank you for your answer. :) How do I determine what % to put for the width?

Leslie

Hi Jym,
I think I got it...thank you.
