Shill bidding ?
Well who are these bidders, and how the heck are they bidding amounts of $8,000, $15,000?

We are all bidding against them, or they are bidding against us, I really hate the way these auctions are sanctioned.

Did you call? Are these new bidder handles? I have noticed like last year end, lots of adsense ads on just about every unrelated website I go, might be new customers.

They do answer the phone, you should call. I have been quite happy with their support and answers.

I don't need to call, but my point is to bring awareness to people to think twice before getting caught in a bidding war. Ok, understandable if this happend once, but twice it is a bit alarming especially when talking such high amounts. How are these people able to make such big bids, then simply bail.

I didn't write the article, but just pointed it out, but as many here are bidders on the aftermarkets, nobody wants to pay more than they have to for no good reason.

Looks like buyers remorse, bidding without looking at the history, that or probably front running and the aussie newspaper backed out. I see the latest 301 was to the existing site and a backlink from the same aussie domain.

Yes, I think your right on the front running to the au site, au are hard sell as they love their .com.au, and sometimes don't care for the .com. Even at $15K buy, they need to get $25K to make it worth their while. I guess they have to wait for the auction to end because front running during it will take them right to the bidding page.

Wonder if they let it expire on purpose? Maybe they are bidding or having employee of friends as proxies who don’t care about getting banned, and doing this so as to get the price down.

@wwwweb I just looked, its not at auction, and still resolves to DC page. If paid, it would have moved. Did you see the final bidding?

Yes. It sold the 3rd time around for about $6,500.

The 3rd time winner still hasn’t paid, albeit it only closed yesterday.

I hope after the wittynuy issue, they would have tightened up bidder security.
