Working on converting several of my sites to a static front end, backed by a blog and articles subdomains. Just finished redesigning the entry page of http://apply-online-credit-card.us . What do you think?
The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I like the layout...however if you must leave the yellow...make it "mellow"...lighten it up...like a "pastel" yellow...easier on the eye and much more attractive to your layout..I like your Blog site to...(I do credit sites as a "niche" market and make good $$$ at it ..not adsense though)...you could ad some affiliate ads to your site as well to generate some additional revenue...a good source would be to target "bad credit" www.ncsreporting.com is an affiliate marketing company I'd recommend...
I'd also do a "drop-in" for the blog ad with a "delay" of about 5 seconds vs having it hang there on the right.. to obtrusive IMHO... would catch your audience better...I've found that improves the click through rate by as much as 40-50 %....
Thanks.. yeah, planning to add affiliate banners eventually.. want to rework the article backend first and get the blog going. Site isn't even indexed yet.
The moving blog link might go eventually as I have others on the page already... just want to alert people as it's getting off the ground. Me, I hate drop-ins so hadn't considered it. May just make the moving ad smaller for now.
Thanks for your comments. (I like the bright yellow, BTW... but may tone it down or replace it with a tiles background.)
