Coolest Vintage Computer

[dgridley]

I had one of these years ago.. it was an all-in-one unit that had an 8086 chipset, EGA mono graphics, touchscreen, built-in phone/modem, built-in copier/scanner/printer, 640k RAM and 40mb HD.

I'd love to see an updated version of this with improved specs and a VOIP phone!

This cost me $3800 thru my local phone company when I bought it.. it was the Canon Navigator HD40.

My brother works for Canon.. says he has seen a few of these lying around the plant.

Anyone remember AMSTRAD's phone?

Similar models are now arriving everywhere in the UK! Just they use VOIP instead of conventional phone lines

Alan Sugar had the right idea, just a couple of years too early :p
