One thing you can do is search the exact domain in the Search tool in upper right corner of this website. If it brings up that domain, it might show some history and maybe the latest owner, if it's ever been mentioned in any threads here. If so, you can DM to see if that member still owns it. Many domains you'll see for sale, have been mentioned here on Namepros since a huge number of domain sellers are members here.

Also put the domain into Wayback Machine. Might see some old developed website was on it. If there was a Contact page that had an email (that didn't use the domain in its addy), you might be able to contact the old owner and see if they sold it to the new owner and whether they might still have the details.
Both tricks work only rarely; still, they work sometimes, so it's worth a Hail Mary by trying them.
A lot of domains with DAN landers have a unique 3rd verification nameserver or verification TXT record that you can use for further investigation. This way you can find out about other domains owned by the same Seller.
