Can anyone explain the logic behind this?
Domains registered in the Cook Islands end as follows:
• ".co.ck": is used for business organisations
• ".org.ck": is used for "not-for-profit" organisations
• ".edu.ck": is used for educational institutions
• ".gov.ck": is used for government departments,
• ".net.ck": is used for Internet Service Providers

Anyone can aquire .ck domains.
My post is related to the first of the options
Now I would have thought that the adult interent sector may have used the ".co.ck" for some domains. I can think of a few domains (what rhymes with duck?) that would be easy to remeber and revelant for people in that industry, but I can't go into it into it in this topic. On checking if these were available I was futher suprised to find out that even sex.co.ck is available.
Secondly, (this may answer my first question), I noticed that the .co.ck domains are priced, on one site at $150 for two years!! Why is this?

The Domain Name Registration maintenance fee for organisations or individuals who do not reside in the Cook Islands is US$150.00* for 2 years registration.
For organisations or individuals who reside in the Cook Islands the Domain Name Registration maintenance fee is NZ$35.00* per annum.
