I've heard it called a mainboard. But to someone who doesn't know alot about computers wouldn't know what a mainboard is.

i would have to agree with bosco. most people have probably never heard the term mainboard being used while they will probably be familiar with motherboard. I have, however, even seen "them" listed as mainboards rather than motherboards on a couple of online shop sites so imo, if you could possibly find one were they are referred to as such, it might not be worth nothing. I don't remember which sites they were though.

P.S. I am a newbie and have no idea what it would be worth. However, I do know that the term mainboard is indeed used sometimes.
