This is the second time in a week that Comcast has nationwide problems. I'm thinking of maybe switching providers. I liked their speed and price, but always having problems isn't worth it.

I heard Verizon is now 2x as fast....
BTW, I don't have any problems, however my dad's PC in the basement (connected to the same router) can't load Internet at all... weird, we're both connected to the router with wires, not wireless.... and mine works fine!
I dumped Comcast because their support sucked. I went with Verizon DSL and it is fast enough for me. All I do is browse the web and stuff. I dont do much downloading and other stuff that needs major bandwidth speed.
Just a warning if you have Comcast and Win98 and move to Verizon you may have problems. I had one PC that wouldnt connect, kept getting the Welcome to Comcast page. Verizon support helped me fix it. He says it happens all the time when people switch.
I had problems for a couple of hours as well. They are the largest high-speed cable internet provider with around 7 million customers, so you'd think they could afford to have a better system in place so their customers don't experience problems every couple of days. It's getting to be ridiculous when it's the second time within a week. I feel like I'm back on a slow 56k dial up connection again. :td:
The speeds are blazing fast when there's no problems, so I guess the problems are worth it in the end. :D
When I would have problems they would always say... we need to send a guy out.. is 3 days from now between 9am and 4pm ok? LOL
Like I want to go that long without my net and then wait all day for him to get there LOL
I've been having problems yet again this evening and tonight.
Has anyone else had problems today with them too? This is starting to get ridiculous, as this is the third time within a week and back to back days. Hopefully they will get their crap together soon, as I'm sure they will start to lose customers if this keeps up. :yell:
