If you purchase on the aftermarket the .com and the net / org are available to hand reg , is it wise to secure them, or does this not matter to the potential future buyer of your .com ?

it really depends on the name/niche/your end-users i believe.. but basically you dont need to average down your potential ROI by investing in lower value xtensions if you already got the strongest.. imho
I don't think a 'bundle' is a strong selling point. If the .com is taken, the person might check the .net then the .org because they prefer to get a domain for regfee, but you grabbed them all. So it's most likely the person will move on and find another domain.
.net/.org/.etc: only for defensive registrations, when I'm building a brand as an end user.
There may be exceptions of course, especially if you feel like you might be using the domains at some point, if they don't sell.
Likewise, I have bought domains in singular and plural form, sold the singular then the plural became useless. It didn't provide much leverage I think.
