Here is something you may or may not find interesting about 4L.co

According to BenMi.com there have be 10,204 4L aftermarket transactions so far this year.
3214 were in January
5586 were in February
..and there have been 1404 so in the first 8 days of March

Of these 10,204 transactions there have only been 10 sales of the most sought after 4L patterns - AAAA, ABBB, AAAB, AABB, ABBA, AABA or ABAA, and only 2 of them have occurred on a Chinese platform, the rest have been on GoDaddy and one on NameJet.

spss.co 4X USD 2016-03-01 Godaddy
rrdr.co 1XX USD 2016-02-22 Godaddy
yygy.co 3X USD 2016-02-19 Godaddy

pkpk.co 7X USD 2016-02-11 Godaddy
mnmn.co 2XX USD 2016-01-15 Godaddy
wkwk.co 6X USD 2016-01-14 Godaddy

bbxx.co 1XX CNY 2016-01-28 West.cn

sssq.co 1XX CNY 2016-01-28 West.cn
ppps.co 5X USD 2016-01-24 Godaddy
cccq.co 6X USD 2016-01-13 NameJet

At the beginning of January it looks like 4L.co were going for around 3X CNY. Most sales now seems to be around the 3XX CNY mark, although I feel like I'm seeing more and more 4XX CNY sales. I even noticed a few 9XX CNY sales today from 22.cn.

Make of all that what you will.
Thanks very interesting. I have a few AABA.co CHIPS patterns... To sure what to do with them...

Some of the NNNN.co auctions that closed on Godaddy, tons more ending in 1 or 2 days. Can't believe someone could be letting these drop, we'll see.

Even the double 4's getting a little love...

Domain Price Date Venue
2816.co 531 USD 2016-03-08 GoDaddy
1628.co 456 USD 2016-03-08 GoDaddy
1664.co 161 USD 2016-03-07 GoDaddy
4499.co 352 USD 2016-03-05 GoDaddy
4477.co 267 USD 2016-03-05 GoDaddy

Crapload of NNNN.co on Godaddy auction today.
Over a thousand at $17 or less.
I wonder if this will have any longterm implications for the base price of 4N and 5N.

Most of the NNNN without 0 or 4 have bids more then $400. With 0 or 4 are still around the $20 for now.

Will these really drop or is the owner just testing market prices? Almost 2000 NNNN.co total. Chips and non chips, owner from China.

Who knows. Both scenarios are possible. I will try grab some if I can.

For those not deep in the China market there are some one word .co domains that dropped today. I picked up a few already, but these are still available at this moment:

fakes.co
meets.co (kind of love this one, but spent my budget already)
pulmonary.co
punctual.co

Many of the NNNN.co chips closing shortly or within hours, and all sitting within the $620 to $700 range.

Still possible to see some bidding wars at the end. Some have 88 in the middle, or end in 55 or 66, or other double numbers.

So much ChiP talk on here... Feel like we should create a separate thread for those who are more interested in the great one-word and keyword names available in this extension on a regular basis.

Recently picked these up:

Licorice dot co
DailySun dot co

Or we just need to be more vocal. :)

Thanks! I was a fan.

@kellie - Lol. Good point. Have you had any success with selling non ChiPS .co names?

Yep.

I don't do outreach and I still sell them. I rarely have them listed either. I really need to rectify that, but there are so many things to do. My day job gets in the way too, ya know?

Oh, I definitely know!

That's excellent, though. What kind of names are you selling? Short? Brandable? Keyword?

I got my hands on a couple of three letter domains last year before the run. I still have one of those. I buy predominantly single word domains or keywords that I have strong feelings about.

Just sold graphene to another investor for $3k, sold hooch to an end user, sold PYS to another investor, tokes to another investor. I have also sold a number of xyz this year both in end user sales as well as in the NamesCon auction. Hoping that I'll be able to move some of the .site domains I invested in at some point. I got some strong three letter acronyms there.

I think the key, if you don't have a ton of capital to handle carrying costs, is to not aim for a home run every single time at bat. I see people make that mistake all the time. Price all but your very best names fairly and get them into marketplaces where they will get offers/get sold. Keep your babies and know what you'll part with them for. I only have about 250 names right now and there are only about 10 that I would put into my "babies" category. Everything else I would part with for anywhere from $500 to a few thousand happily.

Where do you sell one word .co names?

I have a few (see signature) and did some outbound emails but no success.

I make sure they have pages with "for sale" clearly indicated. Every sale I've done thus far has been the buyer finding me either that way or through DomainAgents.com

I think it also has to do with the names I'm picking up. I'm *really* selective. I have about 50 .co domains right now - scoops, hotrods, clones, huts, mating, fleamarkets, scanners, etc. These all get type in traffic and I think that really helps.
