This could truly be a big competitor to .COM (especially being a "typo").
I would say with proper guidance .CO could REALLY have a bright future!

I actually had an offer on one of my CVCV name (g*a*t*i) via SEDO a few days ago (someone from Colombia), only $90 but they are not completely worthless.

Yup, the last available CVCV were bought in October by someone in China - but you still could register dropping names. I only just now see $12 bids on expiring auctions.

Unfortunately - as great as buyouts are they also discourage registry/registrars from lowering registration and renewal fees

Every once in a while I send a tweet to the .co registry asking them to lower the regular .co reg fee to $10 to $15 range. They have over 2 million domains registered now, reg fee shouldn't be as high as it is.
