DotCO newbie here. :)

I'd like to read your opinion about this: I know a DotCOM website that receives over 2 million visitors per month (mostly type-in traffic). Would the DotCO version make any money from parking, in your opinion?

Thanks!

Stay far away! TM infringment isn't worth a few dollars from a parking program.

I am pretty sure that there would be no TM issues.

I'm just wondering whether people really make a mistake often while typing ".com" and instead write ".co"... and how much traffic would that bring me?

A pretty nice sale considering "poquer" has only 1.4 mill Google page results. The thing with poker is that the English word is the most common around the world. Hence, a nice sale there.

Nice sale for $2.750 .
HOWEVER : In my country I get 4,04 million results for poquer in Google.

AND
The real spanish name for poker is pรณquer and not poquer.
See http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pรณquer
So an IDN-domainname (Internationalised domain). I know because I registerred pรณquer with .co-extention in the beginning august of 2010.

I get 13 million results for pรณquer in Google.
And 15-17 million if adding -poquer.

Nice one-I knew that could not be a hand reg. :)

I picked up Melancholia D0T C0.

The search volume is from the movie that came out in 2011 starring Kirsten Dunst.

You can see the Google Trend Line to verify this.

The search volume was basically non-existent until the movie came out.

Indeed, but I have this very keyword in another extension long before the movie was released, or was even shown in trailers, it had close to 100,000 exact match searches... maybe 2 years back- and was growing, so I would not attribute all that growth solely to the movie though. But yes, I have checked the trends recently and some of it is related to the film. What I noticed about the keyword though (google trends) is that during the winter periods in the northern hemisphere, the search volumes increase and decreases slightly in summer. Just something I noted a while back. Bought the .co coz it is a strong keyword nonetheless.

It describes a state of depression.

The search volume was basically non-existent until the movie came out.

That's incorrect. It had 100,000 way before the trailer was even out. I have the .NET for a while now. FMA has the .ORG

That's an old article, same site you posted about before:

From what you just linked too:

"Take retail giant, Overstock, for example. The company is in the process of rebranding itself from Overstock.com to the short, memorable O.co โ€“ hoping to appeal to a more global audience."

Didn't work out.
