Clueless about shopping carts

Is there a tread that is particularly good for learning about shopping cart options?

I am looking for something cheap/free, but I have very limited scripting experience.

(Specifics: sites are hand coded html/css, cart will need to have 100+ items, at least 3 separate installations on 3 separate domains)

Google Checkout shoppng cart? Or something else?

I have tried using opencart. It is free, simple to install and good to use. The latest version had many good extensions included in the basic install itself. There are a number of free and very low priced good extensions available for opencart. Magento is another cart I would recommend.

You could always search for free shopping cart software. I would use Google to search and find the best one to suit your needs.

I'm installing opencart.com as I write this. I think it's a good free PHP shopping cart.

Try taking a look at Magento as well. I know a lot of people that use osCommerce, but I feel like there are better options floating around these days.

Dumb question: does opencart require PHP scriptiing knowledge? If yes, what level of knowledge?

As Per my view you should use CMS like opencart and Magento. Both are the open source platform and it is best shopping cart. It comes with the multiple payment and order management.
