Michael Gilmour, another popular domain name industry veteran wrote on Why .CLUB Is So Successful among the new gTLD wave.

As Michael mentioned, .CLUB and gTLDs have only been around for couple of years and what .CLUB has achieved in this short span of time is remarkable. I echo his views while stressing on another important point mentioned by him that .CLUB is run by a great set of individuals whom I have also met at various Domain Name Events. Here's how my experience have been with the .CLUB & team:

Met Colin Campbell, the CEO of .Club Domains, LLC at domainfest Macau in 2015 and had best time hanging out with him over drinks and blackjack :D

I have met and connected with Jeffrey Sass, the CMO of .Club Domains, LLC at numerous occasions and various Domain Name events across the world and have had several eventful conversations/discussions with him. If you were to ask me, I think Jeff is one of the key individuals (along with Colin & others) behind .CLUB success.

How can I forget to mention Nivu Hussain, the Marketing Manager at .Club Domains, LLC.

There are definitely more people in the .CLUB team that contribute to the success of .Club Domains, LLC however, the above mentioned are three key people I have had the honor of connecting, interacting and spending time on more than one occasion.

Aside from how well the company is run, I think the extension itself stands out. It serves a clear purpose. It is for club websites. When consumers see Coffee.club, they know what it is. When consumers see Wine.club, they know what it is. When you see Car.club, you know what it is. End-users are building sites on this extension.

The other extensions are a dime a dozen. They are confusing. They are redundant. End-users are not using them.

If you are investing for the long-term, use common sense. .CLUB makes sense.
