I'm currently offering one lucky investor the opportunity to own Songs.io - an amazing, free music player supported by ad revenue and affiliate links.
Introduction
Last September, I stumbled across this AMAZING domain name on Flippa. I fell in love with the name and the idea of giving people a tool that make listening to great new music that little bit easier. This website is too awesome, I love using it and enjoy owning it. However, due to time constraints, I've decided to let this one go.
What Is It
Songs.io is a beautifully named, beautifully designed music player/social network. It works just like Spotify and is completely legal and free to use.
How It Works
The site is running on an app called YouTube Music Engine and plugins - which uses Last.fm's algorithm to organise and stream most music from YouTube. Songs.io allows the user to organise and share that music with friends and followers. We are simply organising and combining two free-to-the-public services. We are able to use Last.fm's algorithm for free, because we're not charging for subscriptions.
The Traffic
Although the listing traffic is verified by Google Analytics, I've also included the Cloudflare analytics too which shows a much higher rate of traffic. I'm not entirely sure where the discrepancy comes from, however, I believe Cloudflare produces more accurate results because it's based on requests rather than relying on Javascript.
Where The Revenue Comes From
The site generates revenue from iTunes & Amazon purchases of songs, and selling advertising on the site. You can sell audio ads, static ads or popup ads.
Marketing Plans
When I launched the site I spent $200 in advertising the site, with traffic reaching nearly 3000 unique visitors in our first month online. I've been buying up banner ad impressions from Buysellads.com for $0.35-1.00 per 1000 and it seemed to be work.
As the new owner, I'd recommend investing in marketing and building the user-base.
The site comes with a Facebook and Twitter page. We've just introduced Facebook login, and intend on integrating more with Facebook to generate social traffic.
Software Development Plans
The developer working behind the scenes of the script for Songs.io is working very hard and fast to develop the system. I thoroughly expect him to continue working on this project for the foreseeable future.
The software is top quality and is always kept up to date.
The Details
Included in sale:
- Premium Songs.io domain
- Website and database (including all future updates of YouTube Music Engine)
- Facebook & Twitter pages
- Full setup and migration to your hosting
- Full training on managing the backend
- Advice for driving traffic and generating revenue
THIS IS A GREAT HANDS OFF OPPORTUNITY. SIMPLY BUY ADVERTISING CHEAP, BUILD A USER BASE AND TAKE IN AD REVENUE.
