I checked that clones.cc list at greatdomains.com for $5000. So hope this better one may not disappoint me here. What's the value for it?
Even .bz, .nu...are gone.

.CC are always hard to appraise IMO. But this one looks good indeed! It is a short word, starting with "C" (what fits the extension). It might be of interest for some lab corps, copying/cloning software developers and maybe many other kinds of websites, since it is a catchy brandable name.

Its reselll value might be at least mid $XXX, much more to end user probably.

I agree with pertosda. Not really much more value in developing it, however I think you could resell it for $1,000-2,000, and if you are lucky enough to find the end user, I think $10,000 would be possible. Best of Luck! :gn:

Hold onto it! As that science is developed, your domain's value will skyrocket. Especially since .cc will begin to be more popular, too. IMO!

The rule supply & demand always applies for all the names - .cc includes.

There are not too many developed .cc sites so .cc names are considered 'sleeping beauty'.

Clone is a strong keyword with over 14,000 results from overture (w/o extension of course).

The domain name business is a funny business because there is one rule for pricing and appraisal "no rule" - There are some obvious exceptions (business.com, aa.com, etc,,,) but in general a name is a name is a name until you can find a buyer (retail buyer) - If you want to sell the name here or any other forums, you will not get much.

Clone.cc - name only $100 - $200 (whole sale) $500 + (retail)

This is just my personal opinion and not official appraisal as I am not a certified appraiser.

Just ignore all the appraisals from afternic - greatdomains, etc... They don't mean a thing until you sold it.

Domain123, your name certainly has potential as a strong keyword in a high-tech area, but I agree that .cc diminshes the value. While .cc certainly can work and has been used successfully, it isn't a highly regarded extension. On your point about Great Domains: their listings can't always been seen as a proxy for "premium" as they have quite a few domains with actual values on the lower end of the spectrum. Sure, there's a market for .cc but it's more difficult to find high value buyers, and it takes a lot more work. I'm going to hold off on placing a dollar value at this point, but I wish you the best with a very nice keyword and hope you can unlock its value. :gl:

I also have a .cc that was listed by Greatdomains for $5K
and anyone can buy it off me for $125USD
Plus a Rarer 2Char .CC for the same price
