It's marketable.
even .bz, .ws, .tv, ...".co.uk" , ".org.uk" ".net.cn", ".com.cn" ...were regged.
First three meaningful appraisers will get 2NP$ each.

.CC Domain Names
Originally assigned to the Coco's (Keeling) Islands, the .CC domain extension is now available globally, and is a robust alternative to .COM, .NET and .ORG domains.

.CC domains are unrestricted and can be registered by anyone for any purpose. Thanks for help!

Why greatdomains.com list more .cc domain names then (.us + .biz) names.

I agree with the weakness of the extension at the moment. But I'm sure in 2 years, .cc will be used like the rest TLDs. I even think that, .cc is better extension then .biz .info .ws
As a web user I find easier to type .cc and it is shorter.

someone said;
"Unfortunately .cc's have terrible resale value undeveloped. but they work just fine in the serps".

I think it will take time, to have been recognised by end users. For developers, it is so crutial to have good keyword domain name, to get good serp at search engines.

Handbag market is not so competetive, however advertising bids around $1.00 which is not bad. I don't know anything about handbag market but when I think of some brands, that should be worth millions of dollars market.
As a result, as web developing side, IMO, even developed sites (for affiliates, advertising, etc.) would not get so much profit, because of lack of competetiveness on the internet (i might be wrong though!).
But if I would be handbag or shoe related company owner, I would easily spend mid-high $X,XXX for this domain.

RickyG,

Why you always keep posting garbage comments here? Do you own any .cc name?
Do you really know what .cc stands for? --Credit Card? Who tell you that.

1."I am also in the same line as the other. Great name/keyword. The TLD is week and I dont know how a net user will go to it or accept it."
---No people reg .cc name?
2."Now...thats funny!"
3."Domain123...it is a play on words, the CC=Credit Cards.....

CC+Pocketbook =?$? "---any meaning?

4. "Domain123...you have been asking the same question for over a week. Each person except one has given same value.
Please dont keep asking.
RickyG"---Because lots useless comments by you.

By the way, Is this over a week? Do you drunk?
Are you domain name master?
I just want ask some .cc name expert for comments. Please don't waste time to mislead other people.

Bill,

My funny comment was from the post before mine. The poster was commenting on pocketbook and how many creditcards it can hold.

Here in the states the CC is a slang and it stands for credit cards.

SO... my comment about funny, is I have a wife and she has a pocketbook full of CC...again i found houmer

My comment about over 1 week, true, only 5 days.

Do I drink... I am going to after this post.....

Sorry for offending your domain name.

Yeah I'm a .cc expert. Like I said, they have no resale value except when developed. They are perfect for adsense sites, because you can get great keywords.

Like this: www.finechina.cc makes $35 CPM

So if you have a .cc undeveloped it's worth 20 bucks! with rev, whole different ballgame.

Unless you have poker.cc or casino.cc or a MAJOR, profitable keyword, fuh geta bout it.

Trying to compare the sale of Vegas.cc to Handbag.cc is ridiculous IMO, whatever the OST results show. The money flow in Vegas and related to Vegas and gambling in general is HUGE and especially lucrative on the internet. Also keep on mind that the OST for handbag is for "handbag" and "handbags", and generally for products, the plurals are searched quite a bit, maybe even more than the singular.

.cc is very much like .in...there are plenty of 1-word domains available in both, and some sales would indicate that most of those should be worth a lot, but there are not a whole lot of sales. I've been holding some 25 or so .cc names that are all excellent in my opinion, and have only sold 1 .cc before (vastly undersold too, Ringtone.cc for $550 with OST for ringtone now dwarfing that of handbag and Vegas :P).

Indeed they are enticing, but it also doen't help that they are 3 times the price to reg.
I did pick up usher.cc though ;) (ovt. 900k+) for a little experiment.

Still available:

ugly.cc
inked.cc
bald.cc <---- hmm...
kayak.cc
busted.cc

Heh, I've got one of those musician.ext names, nelly.in. Nothing so far :/.

All of those .cc's you listed I've seen and passed up before. I once went through all 3-and 4-letter word .cc's still available, and most of the 5-letter .ccs available. That's where most of my .cc reg's come from. Probably the one out of them that I liked the most is Burn.cc (ironically afterwards became the title of a Billboard #1 Usher song, lol). Since then I've toned back on it and I haven't reg'd a .cc in a long time, probably close to a year.

Hi all ,

It's better now with support comments. Why we here for? Help each other.
We all learn new things from past mistake and other people.
In my view, not only short word be better than long meaningful word.
such as FID vs Business.. But ART is good one.
Domain name is better for brandable and marketable name.
ugly.cc---marketable?
baid.cc---Brandable?
OVT results is base on the word itself. also for google results with 'S' or without 'S' is different. Most time without 's' will return high number.
Results 1 - 10 of about 236,000,000 for oil
Results 1 - 10 of about 23,000,000 for oils (only 1/10 of oil)
But
features vs feature
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,610,000,000 for features
Results 1 - 10 of about 777,000,000 for feature
Let see the tlds:
Why .com is the best one. Because it's global and most people know it.
.CC Domain Names
Originally assigned to the Coco's (Keeling) Islands, the .CC domain extension is now available globally, and is a robust alternative to .COM, .NET and .ORG domains.

.CC domains are unrestricted and can be registered by anyone for any purpose.

.CC is the first one became globally use from local use. such as .TV .WS..
It's already has few years.
That's much better then most others.---Not only for credit card.
Time will tell turth.
.CC is not that bad. Just share my views only.

Thanks all for your time and help!

I have to address this.

Of COURSE GreatDomains.com is going to accept a boatload of .cc names. GreatDomains.com is owned by the same company (Verisign) that owns enic.cc, which runs the .cc extension! It's in their best interest to say all those .cc names are worth thousands and tens of thousands of dollars. The question you need to ask is, with the hundreds of listings on GreatDomains, likely by now over a thousand in the time they've been up, all "premium" by their standards, how many .cc names have actually sold at GreatDomains.com? I think it's been only about 3 or 4, with one of them being the fluke Beauty.cc (link), and they've been selling .cc names for over 5 years! THAT is where the ".cc has little value" sentiment comes from: very few sales in the extension. Vegas.cc is in fact the highest legitimate sale of a .cc ever if I'm not mistaken (I think ambition.cc at Afternic for $3,000 was the previous high).

That's not to say the extension won't ever have value, but expect thousands of dollars for handbag.cc and you'll be unpleasantly surprised.
