Who is the Low $Xxx offer from, and why are they interested in this specific domain name?

All the best,

Hmmm,

I like that domain a lot!
If it is an offer you are happy with,
then go for it.

If you planned to develop it,
I would never sell it.

It seems like a very brandable name that could be applied to literally anything under the sun.

I would probably hold out for $x,xxx,
then I wouldn't feel so badly about losing a great domain.

Whatever you do,
Good Luck!

The offer came through namedrive and after a little digging I'm still none the wiser.
I do like the name and have considered holding it, just curious about peoples thoughts.

Righto, fully researching ... if possible ... the origin and reasoning of any offer is critical - I would run a search for the term at Google and at Whois, etc. and absent any compelling evidence to the contrary, then sell it for the standing Low $Xxx "Quick Sale" IMHO. :music:

Best of Luck.

That's the kind of very koool, quality and useable brandable name that you want to think twice about letting go for a small fee. I wouldn't sell that one 'blind'; that is, being unsure of who the end user is. There are a lot of comparison/Digg style sites out there and people are loving them, and this is a great alt of chooser.
I'm not familiar with namedrive's offer system, I assume they keep the end user/bidder private and you have no way of contacting them through ND to find out who they are?
If that's the case, you might counter with an amount you really want, or turn down the offer... if the buyer is very interested, they would then certainly whois your email and contact you directly and then you would discover exactly who you're negotiating with.
Personally I'd go med - high xxx for it. If they look like they have decent funding, up over the x,xxx mark.
You have to go with your own instincts, of course...
This kind of name has a wide swing to it; you might never get another such bid for it, or the right buyer (this one?) might be willing/able to pay considerably more than their offer.
If I needed the moolah in a rush I'd sell that one for 250. If I weren't in a hurry, I'd be hanging on for around $700 ++.

-- I'd almost be willing to bet it's the dot.co.uk guys that Jeff found above... but we never know for certain, until we know :)

Thanks for all of your replys guys, really appreciate your time. I agree that it's probably the uk guys but on this occassion I think I will hold. I'm in no rush for the cash and it is one of the most brandable names in my portfolio at present.

All the best
