Especially, if you run any websites where users register or enter private information like their email addresses, here is a good reason to visit your sites every day and make sure they are working correctly.
I just went to post a thread in another webmaster forum, only to find that it has been hacked, and since 7 March 2010 anyone who visits that site has the option of running a query on the sites SQL server and grabbing any information they want, including my personal info.
Seven days is a long time for somebody not to notice that their site has been hacked. I sent an email to the whois contact for the domain, but they really should have noticed it a lot earlier.
