Please help me understand if a two-word .net domain I’ve found is worth registering.

Here are some stats:

Google results (using “”) = 8,670

Keyword discovery = 1450

Wordtracker (free version) = 4588

As you can see, the search activity is remarkably high compared to the Google results. The reason for all the searches is the core subject area is one of ongoing lighthearted investigation and controversy. It rouses people’s curiosity. I don’t see the domain as having high end-user value, but wonder if, based on these stats, it would be viable as a parked site.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

it's kind of hard to help you if we don't know the domain name, however, the traffic seems light, but it might be worth registering if the cpc's for the keywords on this domain are high!.

Without revealing too much, all you can hope for is to really do your research and make the call on whether it is worth registering or not!.

cheers

Hi mosilager,

I see what you're saying about the light traffic... not exactly a success factor for a parked site. If there was a niche affiliate product I could sell on the site, it could work well. Perhaps I'll be able to come up with one.

Thanks for your help.
