:hi:
Very new to all this, am probably already in way out of my depth! Still you live and learn... Got a few domains I would really love to hear people's opinions on:
cheapsaabs.com
topdailys.com
casinopokerstrip.com
I have purchased them all recently and was wondering if anyone had advice on their value and whether I should pay to have them appraised or not?
Many Thanks

Welcome to NamePros!

I never thought I would see the words cheap and Saab together :hehe:

I dont know about TM issues, that isnt my forte. Looking at all of the names you listed I would say they are reg. value.

topdailys.com...what would it be used for?
casinopokerstrip.com...3 words a bit long.

I'm not positive, but I believe Saab is a trademark.

topdailys.com could be used for daily comic strips or something. I think 'daily' is a term used in England or another country to denote serial strips. Maybe mid $xx if my interpretation is correct.

casinopokerstrip.com is long and doesn't really make sense.

And definitely DO NOT get any paid appraisals. They are not worth it. Get you appraisals here for free.

Thanks Ricky- much appreciated. I think topdailys.com could work as a news site or any content that would benefit from daily updates. I believe I'm ok with the TM on the cheapsaabs.com front. There is a cheapsaabs.net site fully functioning already on the web and they have contacted me earlier today.
Does anyone have any advice about pitching a domain like this to its potential end user? I am very hopeful a saab dealer will express some serious interest...

Topdailys could be very brandable as a new site, cant see any TM issues on it and i recon that as a news site it would have alot of value, undeveloped mid$xx

cheers fabfive- saab itself must be a trademark so does that make cheapsaabs.com their rightful property? Surely not!!! haha
I am actually from the UK so maybe laws are different here?
A little unclear on your post about the word dailys- has it no real meaning in the US? Over here anything which happens every day is 'daily' i.e. 'daily newspaper' etc sorry I may have misunderstood and really be showing my ignorance here!
Also anyone got any advice on people offering 'content rich adsense websites'? Was wondering if it would be a more profitable way to store my domains rather than park them up with google etc

Sig space for sale (on a rent-a-month basis)... PM me
Erm- I couldn't be less well versed in this dialect I'm afraid!
Thanks for your comment though- perhaps the whole 'dailys' thing is kind of specific to us here in the UK

Actually, yes it does. If Saab wanted your name, they would take it. You cannot use someone else's trademark for your own profit. That's why Google goes after many of the domains that contain the word 'google' in them or are confusingly similar. I also sure that Saab dealers have the right to use the 'Saab' name (as they are authorized dealers of Saab). They may come after you or they may not, but if they do there is really nothing you can do about it.

Hmm, very interesting. Is the best general rule that if a TM appears anywhere in a domain name it is best left alone?

Live and learn...
Do I have no rights at all then?
Am I breaking any laws if I sell the domain to a saab dealership? Or can I try my luck!!!

P.S. A few other names I own if anyone has any opinions. Registered these when I was just getting started and in retrospect am pretty sure they are valueless:-
highestcardwins.com and highestcardwins.co.uk I am thinking of developing into poker sites- can any money be made through the affiliate programs offered by the big casinos?
Does anyone have experience of this?

I also have inthenetinternet.com and .co.uk which I registered cos I thought they were quite easily memorised. I was actually contacted by someone about these almost immediately but it came to nothing and I wondered if they were some sort of con-man. Are there any common scams I should look out for when trading domains?
I though these names would make good information sites about either the internet, football (soccer)- we have a world cup on its way! or maybe even fishing...
Thanks to all who've given their thoughts today

Unfortunatly, Saab has the right to that domain. That is a trademark. They will come after it if it begins to generate revenue.
