Cheapest domains??

Does anyone know who the cheapest domain registar is now, i used to use ipower but there $6.50 know, anyonw know of anything cheaper? i look at the registar thing on this site but theres a lot of sites missing....

i have a question, what can be bad quality when your buying a domain?

Bad quailty as in your DNS not working, account features , no or bad customer support. Bad billing ie; double/triple charge ect

Unless of course you are talking about 10dollar.ca - cheapest .ca's with great service. Just wish they would update their domain control panel so I could do batch renews, dns etc.

LOL - I've said it before - they should start paying me for dropping their name so often, but they haven't let me down, and poke around google or yahoo - not one bad thing I can find written about them. A sign of a good registrar if there ever was one.

.COM domains cost the registra $6.25. Typically, most registras need to sell above $7.00 to remain profitable. If a domain registrar is selling the domain for less than this then there is usually some long term financial motivation. $7-$8 is a reasonable price for a .com domain.

Problems to consider related to very cheap names
- high renewal fees
- poor customer service
- risk of losing the domain
- not being able to use the domain without using the services of the registra
- being forced to pay high fees for forwarding and other common services commonly expected with the domain
- difficulties in selling domain as the domain registrar does not have a good reputation
- not being able to transfer the domain

GoDaddy commonly has $7.20 ($6.95 +ICANN fee) with coupons. I'd play it safe with them over the suggested registrars.
