All 1 character ,2 character,3 letter,3 number,.cn registered.You can't register 1 char or 2 char .cn now.
The cheapest .cn reg is around $3-$4,but I dont like these registrars, because they will charge you "transfer fee" when you sell your .cn to others.
www.onlinenic.com is a good registrar, doesn't charge"transfer fee" when you sell your domain names to others.Their .cn price is around $8.

Because it is not actually available.

Because it IS cheap. As long as you can speak Chinese, you can find some good registrars allowing free push and the regfee is about US$6. And the one Yumi recommended is the best alternative so far for those who don't speak the language and wish to get the lowest price.

Because zj.cn is reserved for Zhejiang Province in China. Like I can register anyname.bj.cn or anyname.zj.cn and any other third level province code names under .cn.
I know .us also reserved the 2-letter state names, just didn't open for registration.

Hi,-X-
I dont know that reason.www.onlinenic.com and www.china-channel.com is affiliated to www.35.com. If you were a Chinese reseller of 35.com,that .cn price is around $8.

I'm in China,I only can visit the Chinese version of onlinenic.com and can't visit the English version.
