Chat Schedule Suggestion

Hi,

I'm proposing a chat organization schedule. Here are the details:

-You can make a seperate chat room for the schedule.
-Each hour we will talk about different domain topics.
-We must have a leader discussing each topic (they must know a lot about each topic.)
-There also could be a Trivia Time in the schedule. The questions would be about domains and if someone answers it correctly they could get a certain amount of NP$.
-We could try it for one day and see how it goes.

*I will try and update the post if I get anymore ideas for it.

This may be the next step to improving and making the NamePros Chat more enjoyable!

I'm willing to set this up and manage it at anytime.

Please post your thoughts NP Staff and Members.

Very nice ideas IMO... only thing is, wed have to have enough interest 24 / 7 in the chat room.

A more reasonable plan, would be to have maybe, four 'happy hours' in the day, when what youve labelled, happens.

We could even have a trivia night, where you get your own teams of two etc, one night a week....

The possibilities are endless, the problem isnt thinking them up, its making them work! ^.^

As Sabre said, the problem would be participation. The chat can go quite idle at times, and if there are only two active participants in something like this, then its not going to be any fun. Then when you get down to choosing hours, then you get into the whole time zone issue, and have ligistical problems. Its a good idea, but I don't know how practical it would be. I think it could work better if one day a month, we had an official chat time period where we could do some of these things. If we have the admins there, then we can have it controled.

The other problem I see is getting off topic. A lot of times, chat sessions, or even threads in the forum, get off topic quickly. It might be akward to be forced to talk about different registers, when the discussion starts to lead to pricing, or another topic. Its a good idea though, if you can work out the details...

If there was a seperate chat room it would make sure no one went off-topic and if they wanted to they would have to go to another room. Also I know what you mean with the time zone and participation problems. Hopefully we can try it out one day and see how it goes, I think more people would be on if they knew there was something to talk about.
We could have it one day a week or something like that too.

lol well nothing good in life is easy. Anyways well we should have the trivia and it doesn't have to be everyday. If we got more opinions on it then we could see how many days in a month it should be.
