Charging for Banner ads

I operate a niche job board that gets about 33000 CPM per month (as of 12/30/08), I would like to sell header space (banner ads 400x60) and tower space (banner ads 500x120) to highly focused markets.

Does anyone have an estimate of what I might charge per 1000 CPM for both of these banner locations?

I think so you must sell these links and look at people's offer and go with the best one as a good start

If you run a forum use one thread for auction. Make this thread sticky to attract as many advertiser as possible.

I would recommend that you find out what other sites in your niche are charging and more importantly what you feel would be the best price for you.

I think you have some nice numbers if you can somehow prove your statistics you can get away with charging more.

I would start out low to get the advertisers and if it is converting for them raise the price. Always have one of your own banners at the top pointing to an affiliate to see how well your ads are doing
