I'd develop as a fan site and sell it to the celebrity... joke, not.

I'd say it's not a good idea. I once bought such a name, it's not unique (some 30 persons on linkedin), but I don't feel right owning it. It has 40k exact monthly searches, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I have tried to unsuccessfully give it for free to the most popular person by that name, but have received no reply.

The only ok thing to do with such names if you somehow happen to own one is to give them for free to the person or develop a fan site, but with no intention to sell. A popular person's name is almost like a copyright object, not even talking about cases if the name is unique.

Personally I would never buy any Celebrity’s name. Not even for development purpose. It’s waste of money and energy. I would rather buy a domain name with keyword “Celebrity” and create a page for that celebrity.

Hey that’s just my personal opinion.
(what if that celebrity wants to buy the domain name from you….lol)
